Internal Brewsletter - April 27, 2022
UPCOMING PACKAGED RELEASES
Releasing Friday, 4/29
Trilateral Response: Dry-Hopped Wit Ale // Partnering with de Garde and Foreland breweries, we’re taking a classic wit that includes coriander and Seville orange peel, then amping it up with Nectaron and Wakatu hops from the southern hemisphere. The result is a dry, refreshing ale with intense citrus and tropical aroma, all balanced out with fruity yeast esters.
// 5.10% ABV / 16oz can
Summer Knights: Kolsch // This German-style Kölsch beer blends a pilsner malt base with both the lightly fruity quality of an ale and the clean finish of a lager.
// 5.00% ABV / 16oz can
Board Shorts Next Set: India Pale Ale // Brewed in memory of our dear friend and original bar manager, Seth. Next Set represents his bright and easy-going spirit, like rocking a pair of colorful board shorts and drinking a summer IPA that captures the taste of the season with notes of tropical and citrus fruits. A portion of beer sales will be donated in his honor to the OHSU Brain Institute to aid in the discovery of treatments and eventual cure for brain cancer.
// 6.50% ABV / 16oz can
COLLAB RELEASES
Magic Lanterns: India Pale Ale // When we received our order of Phantasm, we pondered the best way to use this intriguing ingredient. Immediately, our friends at Block15 came to mind. Wizards in the hop game, they were excited to join us in the challenge of highlighting this delicate, yet complex ingredient. Mutual passion, hefty amounts of thiol loaded Phantasm, very strategically placed hop additions and the use of a special yeast brought to life this delicious and intriguing IPA concept. Loaded full of rich citrus and vinous character with a touch of tropical wonder, this IPA is a unique expression of elements you wont want to miss.
// 7.00% ABV / 16oz can

Thanks for crushing it on a super busy weekend! You all rock!
PUB UPDATES
New Airlie Rosé of Pinot Noir is officially good to go! This will replace the Left Coast Rosé and will run through the rest of spring and likely a bit into summer before we switch to another rosé. This one also spends a little extra time on the grape skins which give it the deeper color and richer body (not a light or bright pink like a lot of other rosés). See below for some tasting notes:
Airlie Winery 2021 Rosé of Pinot Noir 12.5%
Located in Monmouth, OR
Deliciously dry, this lively rosé has notes of cranberry, pie cherry and raspberry. Extended skin contact provided a rich color and medium body.
We will be running a Blood Orange Spritz this weekend with some Blood Orange Puree, lemon, Amrita sparkling wine and a touch of Aperol for bitterness and balance. This will start Friday and run through Sunday (or until we sell out).

TAP ROOM UPDATES
Starting Wednesday, we will be adding 3 more bar stools to the other end of the bar! These will be B6-B8. With this, The water station will be moving over under the Specials board and the end of the bar will no longer be a place for dirty dishes/glasses. There will be some playing around with it until we get it where we want, so be patient and remember to give these extra folks just as much attention if not more than you would give any other customer.
As the weather gets nicer and we get busier and busier, we will have more and more kids running around and being wild. Please review the “How to Chat with Parents that don’t Parent” sheet that is posted by both white boards.
PUB UPDATES
Just a reminder that plant watering for the outside plants will be on the Host/Food Runner shift change and side work list. As a daytime host, it will be your duty to ensure that all the three planters on 3rd street in front of the Pub and the one planter in front of Caves get watered properly (4-5 pitchers of water each).
When resetting tables, please do so in an organized fashion to help everything look clean and cohesive. Inside tables should have the table tent at the far end of the table (or in the middle of its two tables pushed together like table 10 or 25/26) with the salt and pepper shakers in front and the chalk cup to the side of the table tent. Each inside table should also get one beer menu for every two people that can sit at the table. This is our way to indicate to other servers and staff that the table is clean and ready to be sat. We now have more menus, so this should be happening every single time (upstairs servers, feel free to keep a clean stack at the server station to reset your own tables). Outside tables should have the table tent at the far end of the table and the “Please see inside staff for seating” tent at the other end. While it is damp and rainy outside, we don’t need to worry about putting beer menus immediately on these tables, but will do so as the weather gets better.
Hosts - When adding folks to the waitlist (if we are on more than a 15-minute wait) please remember to offer the group to grab a drink at the bar while they are waiting.
Closing Servers - Please wipe down the wall behind the ketchup pump nightly as part of your closing duties. The ketchup dries then becomes super glue on the wall that is very hard to remove.

TAP ROOM UPDATES
All personal belongings(bags, purses, phones, etc) need to be kept upstairs at all times while you are clocked on. No exceptions.
Starting this weekend, we will no longer be doing any large party reservations(12+) on the weekends(Friday, Saturday, Sunday). However, if a party of 12 or more walks in and we have the space to accommodate them, we should definitely still seat them. Use your best judgment and ask a manager for assistance if needed. .
Remember when you are scheduled for your 15 minute check in once a week, that you clock in as Project for this and then clock back in as a server when you hit the floor.
NEW SPECIAL ALERT! Our delicious clam dip with house fried potato chips will be replacing the Artisan Plate at the taproom on Friday!
PUB UPDATES
To help encourage more frequent dipping in the sani buckets, we are bringing back a sani bucket at the host stand. Rags should live in this bucket and not piled on the host stand. Also, please be sure to change out this water frequently as it is in a very customer-facing area (this also goes for all other sani buckets–they should be changed a minimum of once every two hours, but if it looks gross, please change it!).
To help keep our new bike corral looking shiny and beautiful, please remember to leaf blow this area along with the rest of the outside in the morning. The street sweepers can’t get in there, so it’s up to us to maintain the area!
Weather is getting warmer and Spring is happening! Each planter outside should get 4-5 pitchers of water during shift change to keep them looking happy and healthy. Water amount and frequency will go up in the summertime, but for now we should be set with watering once a day.

Selection Series, Cashmere: Idia Pale Ale// This IPA was brewed exclusively with Cashmere hops from CLS Farms in Moxee, WA. With an unobtrusive grist profile and soft water base as the canvas, this beer is meant for Cashmere’s vibrant notes of canteloupe, peach and lime to shine.
// 7.00% ABV / 16oz can
Alpine Ibex: Maibock // Pouring a brilliant gold, this strong lager has more hop character than traditional bock beers. Bread and honey aromas from Pilsner and Munich malts blend with herbal, woodsy hop notes from Hallertauer Mittelfrüher and Czech Saaz hops. The medium body produces a malty-sweetness, while balanced hoppiness leads into the crisp finish.
// 6.90% ABV / 16oz can
Ocean Man: Baltic Porter // A style originating from lands surrounding the Baltic Sea, Ocean Man is a bold, rich, and highly drinkable ale. Earthy, malty-sweet aromas are on full display, paired with pronounced NOTES of roasted coffee, dried plums, and dark chocolate. Lager yeast cleans the finish to create a decadent beer, as dark as the bottom of the ocean.
// 8.00% ABV / 16oz can
Illuminated: Belgian Style Tripel // Illuminated is brewed with a dynamic array of imported grains, select hops and a classic Belgian yeast strain balancing refined malt notes with a complex but familiar character. In traditional Belgian fashion, our tripel presents rich, sweet flavor, but finishes surprisingly crisp and subtle on the palate.

King Caspian: Imperial Red Ale // King Caspian is an imperial version of our Ridgeback Red Ale. GENERAL
Starting next Monday (3/14) we are going to be adjusting the 15-minute pre-shift check-in that we have done for the last several months. Moving forward, Laura will be scheduling each person (1) 15-minute “project” shift before a standard serving/hosting/food-running shift a week. Below is a breakdown on expectations for this adjusted check-in:
This time is expected to be spent reviewing and refreshing yourself on the content from the most recent Brewsletter, completing the Read & Sign, and checking your informational whiteboard in the breakroom for updates.
Once you are caught up on all of the pieces downstairs, you will head upstairs to gather info on soups, specials, 86’d items, new beers (continuing to taste beers each shift) and any other shift relevant info. At this point, you’ll also check-in with the manager on duty before phasing into your section or replacing another person on the floor.
It is incredibly important to be up to date on all of your info before your shift starts. Wow our guests with all of the knowledge that you just picked up before your shift!
This is a required pre-shift check in so it will be treated like a regular shift in that you must be on time. If you swap shifts with a co-worker, you will still have the 15-minute project shift on your schedule and will need to check in with Laura to make sure she can move it to another shift.
On any other day that you are not scheduled for this 15-minute project shift, we will still need to allot time after clocking in to gather info on soups, specials, 86’d items, new beers (with time to taste and evaluate) and any other shift relevant info. You can clock in up to 10 minutes before your scheduled start time to gather this information.
Thank you all for your hard work and dedication when it comes to learning and staying up to date! If you have any questions, please feel free to check in with a FOH manager!
We have a couple of managers up for review! Please take the time to fill out the attached review form for both Laura and Elise. Your feedback is incredibly helpful and valuable! https://block15.wufoo.com/forms/k15l9tcs0acb9t0/

Corvallis Environmental Center Info:
“We have launched the CEC Carbon Friendly Transportation Challenge - an online “virtual community race” to try and log 10,000 miles of carbon friendly transportation as a community.
The goals?
- Help people feel like they can actually start doing something about climate change
- Help people see they’re not alone in their actions or concerns.
- Make it fun. We all need a bit of hope and levity right now.
Anyone can join the challenge from anywhere from now until April 30th.
Participants download the Atlas Go App and are able to:
- Track their bike rides, walks, carpools, and public transportation use.
- Post photos of their activities.
- Share their progress within Atlas Go and on social media.
- Keep an eye on the leaderboards for participants and teams who log the most miles.
We currently have 70 participants and have already moved over 1600 miles in under a month!
https://dash.atlasgo.org/challenges/61df609a8f20da059047f4ad”
From April 1st to April 30th, we will also be challenging our employees to see who can get the most miles with a fun and exciting prize at the end! More info on this internal challenge as we get closer!

TAP ROOM UPDATES
Make sure when we are checking in on tables, we slow down, make good eye contact, and engage. Give them a super bomb guest experience. Then hustle when you leave the table.
Once Left Coast Pinot Gris runs out, we will be switching back to Compton.
PUB UPDATES
Bar Updates! This Friday (3/14) we are launching a Mai Tai as part of our transition to spring cocktails. Details are as follows:
Mai Tai - Gold rum (Flor de Cana gold), orange liqueur (Harlequin), lime juice, housemade Macadamia nut orgeat, and a dark rum float (Goslings), topped with a passionfruit & coconut foam.
Orgeat is a french syrup traditionally made with almonds & rose water or orange blossom water. Our Macadamia Orgeat is made with raw macadamia nuts, sugar, orange blossom water, and a little bit of Jamaican rum & almond liqueur.
The foam is made with our whipped cream canisters but is dairy-free. It contains passionfruit puree, simple syrup, egg whites, coconut liqueur, and some water.
In the coming week(s) we will also switch our seasonal lemonade flavor from Cranberry-Ginger to Guava-White Peach (it’s SO good!).
While the Caves space is undergoing intermittent construction, it’s still important to clean and restock those bathrooms. Monday hosts, please make sure this task gets completed as part of your final check-out after you’ve been phased.
If we ever have extra mats hanging around after you’ve laid out all of the standard floor mats, please bring them downstairs to the clean rag storage and neatly tuck them on the bottom shelf. Aramark comes every Friday and will be able to take extras (so that they don’t take up room in the Brewhouse or Mill Room which are shared workspaces).
A new Hoky (floor sweeper) is on order! It will be here soon, then we can lay our dearly departed old Hokey to rest.

GENERAL
Fanzine IPA:
We teamed up with our friends, Fort George Brewing in Astoria, to be the collaboration brewery for this year’s Fanzine IPA! The two brew teams came together last fall at Crosby Hop Farm to rub and select Comet and Idaho 7 varietals that make this West Coast IPA shine.
We will be tapping the beer at both locations this Friday, as well as selling 16oz cans. Block 15 and Fort George will be the ONLY locations selling Fanzine until it hits distribution next week.
For more information on Fanzine, check out the link below:
We have a couple of managers up for review!
Please take the time to fill out the attached review form for both Laura and Elise. Your feedback is incredibly helpful and valuable! https://block15.wufoo.com/forms/k15l9tcs0acb9t0/

TAP ROOM UPDATES
There is a new volume control for the Barrel Room in the room itself above the cabinet. Please use this to up and down the music as needed in there as needed for meetings. If there are no meetings happening and you are seating that room and notice the music is off, please turn it up to a reasonable volume.
Closers, please do an extra awesome job of cleaning the floors at night.
PUB UPDATES
On Monday, March 7th, we will be adding back tables 2 and 4 in the booths section. Sections will be adjusted to ensure that they are manageable and flow well with the restaurant. Stay tuned for further details on the return/roll-out of other tables.
We still have a number of delicious bourbons left over from Bourbon Month! If you have folks that seem interested in whiskey/bourbon, please let them know about our current selection. We won’t have menus on tables, but all available offerings will still be under the “Bourbon Month” section in Toast.
Along the same lines as the Tap Room–please take the extra time to thoroughly sweep and mop each night to set your openers up for success and a super clean restaurant!
We have a new milk frother (the device that stirs the hot chocolates). Just a reminder: these are not dishwasher safe and CANNOT be submerged in water. To clean, please take a small amount of water in a kids cup and stir it around, then dump the water. Storing the entire frother in a cup of water will cause the batteries to short out and break the device.

Let’s make sure that we are doing frequent bathroom checks throughout the shift and making sure that they are tidy and stocked.
This week we are focusing on dishing out coasters. With us primarily being counter service, this can be missed but it is an important part of the guest dining experience to make sure that these are being offered when we pour a beer for someone. If you notice when running drinks to a table who used the QR codes that they have not received coasters, let’s make sure that we run back and grab some for them.
We have a lot of new and beautiful plants in the dining and barrel room that Sarah’s mom did a kick ass job of finding and potting for us. For the time being, she will be the primary one watering and looking after these until Summer so do not worry about watering any plants.
PUB UPDATES
We are working on some storage changes for the back server station (by the merchandise display) to help keep that space organized and tidy. As you all are working on the floor, please be mindful of the presentation of that area since it is so visible to our guests.

TAP ROOM UPDATES
We want to make sure that we are offering Packaged beer to go to every person as they are closing out at the register. Obviously, if they close out with the QR code at the table, this is a little more difficult, but as they are coming up to the bar and closing out, it should be a part of our routine every time.
Clean glassware is the first step to pouring a beer! Make sure we are inspecting the glass before a drink is made each time. If the dishwasher hasn’t been run for a while, don’t be afraid to drain it and refill so that we are using hot water with each load.
PUB UPDATES
Some of our newer release beers have been a little bit foamy, so here is a quick reminder to make sure that we are letting the foam settle when pouring beers then scooping extra foam out with a spoon–especially with the more limited release beers. Remember the proper beer pouring techniques!
Clarification on seating the tent when there is no set server in that section: before seating the guest or telling them that we will have a server for the party, please inform them that you are going to check in with your manager to see how we might be able to accommodate–please put the party on a brief wait if needed to hold their place in line. The manager on duty will then figure out the best plan to staff that section based on the current flow of the restaurant (this could mean that we have a server ready to take that table, that we will have the float start the table and a server will take over shortly, or that we currently do not have the staff available to serve that section). If we are able to seat them and get them a server quickly, feel free to seat as normal. If we are not staffed to properly serve that section, please explain this to the guest and put them on a wait for one of the 100’s tables outside. If you would like to grab a manager to help convey this message, please feel free to snag one!

GENERAL
Periodically the Employee Handbook needs to get some updates as things change in the restaurant. Here is a link to the most up-to-date version that goes into effect today, January 19th. All additions are noted in Red print.
The most significant change focuses on Dress Code:
Over the past couple of months, some thought has gone into an update of the employee dress code. Our goal in the update is to allow employees to be more authentic in representing who they are while also acting in a professional manner that positively represents Block 15. It was also realized that the old dress code structure had a lot of negatives. There is a lot of flexibility in this language to allow each and every one of you to be and look like individuals while at work.
The goal of Block 15’s dress code is to promote a professional appearance that represents the Block 15 brand and standard of excellence. Individualism is an important aspect of the Block 15 culture, and we encourage stylistic expression within a set of guidelines designed to present a polished, professional team, with each member remaining easily identifiable as employees of the company.
Employee attire must be properly well-fitting, presentable, professional, family-friendly, & clean. Also, clothing must be free of prominent logos from other brands. Any questions of following the above are reviewed by the FOH manager on duty.
A Block 15 logo or graphic must be prominently displayed on top/outer layers of clothing. Those items can include buttons, apron, shirt, sweatshirt, hat or other Block 15 branded items.
Some positions may have more specific restrictions intended to protect the employee from potential job-related hazards.
Our marketing team is going to work on expanding options (patches, pins, etc) to allow employees to wear additional and different items to meet this dress code. If you have any questions or need clarity, please chat with a manager.
Other topics that also were updated:
Employee food discounts are now allowed to be applied for take-out/to go food.
A section was added regarding employee behavior when off the clock.
Tip policy was updated to reflect the transition to Tip Pooling for FOH employees.
Some notes on employee safety and on the job injuries
Clarifying details on acceptable parking locations while on shift.
If you have any questions about these updates, please reach out to your manager, or Ian.
TAP ROOM UPDATES
Jameson and the Giant Peach will be launching on Friday as our new cocktail! It’s delicious…
Starting next week, every Wednesday will be Neighborhood Night at the Taproom! This is basically a Southtown appreciation night for anyone who lives South of the bridge. Any guest who mentions it to an employee will receive 20% off of anything consumed in-house. Because we want the locals to come out and enjoy our space, this discount does not apply to anything To Go(Packaged Beer, Merch, To Go Food). It’s gonna be rad!
PUB UPDATES
We are getting a couple of signs for the Brewer’s Bar and Rail made to help guide our guests to order at the bar when they are ready, however, we also want to be aware of offering great service and hospitality to these areas. If you direct someone towards the Brewer’s Bar or Rail, or happen to walk by a guest and see that they do not have menus or a beverage, please check in with them to see if they have been helped. We all know that sometimes signs can be missed, or folks can forget where they are supposed to order.
Moving forward, guests dining in the tent should always have a server, or someone able to serve them (sometimes this can be the Float helping to start or close out some tables). If you have a party that would like to sit in the tent, but you do not have a server in that section, feel free to say something along the lines of “I’m sorry, at this moment I don’t have a server in that section, but let me check in with my manager to get someone out there for you.” We can then put them on a small five-minute wait while we move some sections around.
We are going to offer a Rosemary & Orange Old Fashioned to pair with the special Pot Pie this weekend! Please let folks know about this cocktail when giving the specials spiel.

UPCOMING PACKAGED RELEASES
No new releases this week!
GENERAL
With cases of the highly transmissible Omicron variant spiking over the last couple of weeks all around Oregon (and cases likely to continue to spike post NYE celebrations and with the return of students) we have decided to temporarily pull all bar seating at both the Pub and Tap Room for a couple of weeks starting Wednesday, January 5th. Stay tuned for updates as to when the bar stools will return!
TAP ROOM UPDATES
When turning the music off at night, all you need to do from now on is press pause on the ipad itself. There are a bunch of different settings we are trying to dial in on the new box upstairs so please do not turn anything off in that section..
The upstairs storage space at the top of the stairs is getting renovated. With this, some of our items like linens and dishes are going to be in different places. Please ask Tyler or Sean if you need help finding anything.
PUB UPDATES
Since the tent is not often being utilized during the daytime, we are going to keep the spiderbox inside until it begins to get dark (4pm approx.) so that we can light the tent and ensure that it looks cozy and inviting. If we have guests that would like to sit under the tent before the evening, please snag the box and plug in appropriate lights and heaters.
As guests are gathering at the end of the bar, please do a quick check in with the bartender to see if they have already checked in with the folks waiting, or if they would like assistance. This helps to ensure a smooth flow for waiting guests, and prevents us from having miscommunications about who still needs to be helped, or what drinks still need to be poured. Your help is always so appreciated, and extra communication just makes it even better!
Hosts - With construction happening in the Caves space, we will not need to sweep and mop the floors each week for the time being. Please continue to clean the restrooms weekly and be sure to restock toilet paper and paper towels.

If you receive feedback from a table or have something to share from personal experiences please let me know by either writing it on the food feedback form, on a feedback slip, or even a hot schedules message! Thank you! -Sarah

PUB UPDATES
The main dining room lights in the Caves space should be off unless you are actively working in the dining room, or need the light as you are restocking beer. The switch that says “stays on” is okay to leave on as this lights the front area of Caves for safety and visibility, but the rest of the lights should be off by default. If you are leaving that space and notice that they are still on, please turn them off.
A new cocktail will be joining the party this Friday (12/24)! It will feature Buffalo Trace, Tuaca (an orange-vanilla italian spirit), Cranberry-Ginger lemonade, all topped with our Hard Cider!
If you are working this Friday (Christmas Eve) remember to wear your ugly holiday sweaters and have some fun slingin’ beers and burgers. Happy holidays and safe travels, and we can’t wait to ring in the new year with you all!
We have a new SpiderBox for the heaters out in the tent. One quick note on plugging in heaters and lights--they should be plugged and unplugged to turn them on and off, please do not use the GFCI reset buttons on the outlets to turn them on and off. These buttons are there to protect you from any potential hazards, and are not meant to be used as on/off switches. If you have any questions, please see a manager.

GENERAL
It is with mixed emotions to let you know that Chris Heuchert will be moving on from Block 15 in February. While we are excited and happy for Chris to continue thriving in his new chapter of life in Portland, he will be greatly missed here at Block 15. As you know, Chris has been with us since the very beginning of our journey and has dedicated his time and efforts to the success of the company and the team as a whole. We will save the heartfelt goodbyes for February as no doubt we will be sending him off in Block 15 fashion! In the meantime, we will be working with Chris and the team to set up the transition.
Chris has given us plenty of time to reflect and prepare for his departure and our plans moving forward. Over the past several weeks we have taken a holistic look at our company, executive management structure, and management structures in general, and have concluded that adjustments would be beneficial. We will be morphing what is currently known now as the GM role into a Chief Operations Officer position. The goal of the COO is to secure the functionality and efficiency of our company, drive sustainable growth, and promote company culture and vision. The COO will execute the company objectives set forth by myself and Kristen by breaking them down into everyday tactical decisions and support.
With that, we are excited to announce that Ian Hutchings has accepted the position of Chief Operations Officer. We know that Ian is well suited and will thrive in this position due to his breadth of experience in the restaurant and brewing industries, his work in finance, as well as his educational background which includes an MBA. While at Block 15, he has gained the respect of his peers by demonstrating an admirable work ethic and embracing the Block 15 culture on a daily basis. Ian also shares a great passion for the arts of craft beer, food, and hospitality. We look forward to working with Ian and the executive team to further drive success in each department and Block 15 as a whole!
We understand that the transition will take some time and are fortunate to have Chris here until February to assist. Through this, we will be working with each department through the transition, hiring a new HR manager, and eventually an event and club manager.
- Nick Arzner
TAP ROOM UPDATES
We will be doing all of our keg order sales for next week on Tuesday the 21st. All corni kegs need to be dropped off by the end of the night on the 21st for pickup on Wednesday the 22nd.
We are switching up our language a bit in regards to the QR codes. While we will still have the QR codes available as an added bonus, we are switching back to primarily counter/bar service. When taking guests to tables, our wording should be something along the lines of “We are primarily bar service so you can come up and place your order with the Bartender whenever you are ready. If you would prefer, we also have our QR codes available and you can order through your phone just as easily.” The QR table tents should also be placed at the back of the tables(closest to the windows) when resetting the table.
Awesome job with crushing out some bomb ass service last week! Keep it up moving forward and make sure that we are giving every guest the best Block 15 experience possible. You’re all rockstars!
The final Cellar stash release will be next Tuesday,12/21 and it will be 2018 Ripple! This one is in 750mL bottle and is a little more pricey than the rest, but oh so delicious.
PUB UPDATES
Alicia and Kelly’s reviews are coming up! Please take a moment to share some peer feedback—your feedback is very important! https://block15.wufoo.com/forms/manager-feedback-form
Occasionally, guests may decide to order an appetizer after you’ve already entered in all of their entrees. Rather than creating a separate tab for these apps, we have created an “**App Coming**” button on the Appetizers screen that will automatically order itself to the top of the ticket. If a guest orders a Spinach Dip after you have already entered in all of their burgers, head to the Appetizers section and hit the **App Coming** button, send the entree order, then head back to the appetizers and put in their order. This will let the kitchen know that you are about to send through an App and they will hold off on firing the entrees. If you have questions, feel free to ask a manager.
Whether you are being phased, going on a food break, or greeting a table that someone else has started, it is important to communicate these changes with your tables to ensure that our guests know who their server is. Please see the write up on the pre-shift check-in board in the break room for further details on what should happen in each one of these interactions.
If you notice that something is broken or out of order while working (or maybe just needs to be replaced) please let either a FOH or BOH manager know. The feedback slips in the breakroom can also be a great place to jot down these thoughts at the end of a shift (but please remember to include details on what is broken and the date that you are writing the feedback). We all know the day goes much smoother when everything is in working order!
