UPCOMING PACKAGED RELEASES

Releasing Friday, 2/25

  • Selection Series, Chinook: Inda Pale Ale // This IPA was brewed exclusively with Chinook hops from CLS Farms in Moxee, WA. With an unobtrusive grist profile and soft water base as the canvas, this beer is meant for Chinook’s vibrant notes of candied citrus, pine and light rose to shine.

    // 7.00% ABV / 16oz can

  • Cosmic Cold Brew: Stout Cold Conditioned on Coffee // Boosting this brew deep into space, we partnered with Bespoken Coffee Roasters to wake up our Nebula stout with a 24-hour cold extraction on freshly roasted coffee beans. Cosmic Cold Brew perfectly pairs decadent chocolate and caramel roast character with a rich cup of java.

    // 7.00% ABV / 16oz can

Next Wednesday, March 2nd, we will be changing out our specials at both locations! Keep a lookout in your hotschedules inbox for details on Friday!

CORVALLIS HALF MARATHON & 5K

The Corvallis Half Marathon & 5K is quickly approaching! The 5k and the Half Marathon are both on Saturday, April 9th. Block 15 encourages you to participate! In support of this, we will be covering the whole registration cost of any Block 15 employee who participates.

You must request, and be approved for, that time off of work by March 4th. If you would like to register for one of these runs, please check in with your scheduling manager first. Managers will be giving Kristen a list of all staff members who are approved for that time off. She will then message all approved staff with a code and the web site that will allow you to register for free!

Please note this “offer” is only good for those of you who participate. If you register, but don't participate, you will owe Block 15 the registration fee, so make sure to only sign up if you are committed to running! For event specific information, please visit the Corvallis Half Marathon website. Let Kristen know if you have any questions.

BEER EDUCATION

For those interested in learning more about different beer styles, but don’t feel like sticking your nose in a book, we have a solution! Chris Leguizamon, the Education Program Manager at San Diego’s Pure Project has created a virtual book club that dives into beer styles and history. He has posted chapters from Jeff Alworth’s “Beer Bible” for your viewing and tasting pleasure. Check it out!

PUB UPDATES

  • As mentioned in the Focus Points for this week, we should be offering packaged beer to-go to every table that is enjoying a beer in-house. This is a crucial aspect of our steps to great service and should be hit as often as possible.
