MARKETING UPDATES

LATE FALL BOTTLE RELEASE + RELEASE BEER INFO

As most of you know, this weekend is our Late Fall Bottle Release Brunch! We’re hosting brunch at both the Pub and the Tap Room (spots are all filled so it’s all good to go and set). We are also having our Saturday Drive-Thru Sale, where the general public can grab the release beers via pre-order (the pre-order will close at 9am on Friday morning)! Beer is also being shipped out via UPS tomorrow for those folks who aren’t local but still wanted to get their hands on release beers!

The Tap Room will have the release beers in-house after the brunches and the Drive-Thru Sale, so if you encounter someone who is interested in getting bottles you can let them know that (as always, while supplies last, though!). Please let Paige know if you have any questions!

Below are the bottles (and can) being offered, and details on pricing and limits!

Figgy Pudding 2020 // English-Style Barleywine // Figgy Pudding is an English-style Barleywine brewed with black strap molasses and a blend of English pale and specialty malts. Extended maturation in freshly-emptied brandy barrels and gentle spicing with ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice infuses this complex sipper with warming holiday flavors. // 13.5% ABV // $11.50 / 500mL bottle // Limit: 4 bottles per person

Imagine 2020 // Belgian-Style Imperial Stout Matured in Bourbon Barrels // Imagine is a blend of Belgian-inspired imperial stouts matured for one and two years in freshly-emptied bourbon barrels. // 15% ABV // $11.50 / 500mL bottle // Limit: 6 bottles per person

Imagine, Belgian Waffle 2020 // Belgian-Style Imperial Stout Matured in Bourbon Barrels with Liège Waffles and Maple Syrup // This special variation of Imagine was conditioned on liège waffles and maple syrup. // 15% ABV // $12.50 / 500mL bottle // Limit: 2 bottles per person

Framboise Black 2020 // Wild Ale Matured with Black Cap Raspberries // A blend of Belgian-style witbiers, spontaneously fermented with our house wild culture. A year-long maturation in French oak barrels with locally-grown black cap raspberries produced a deep purple beer that’s awash with jammy raspberry character, complemented by soft notes of oak and tart, earthy funk. Framboise Black’s bright acidity and dry, effervescent finish lend refreshing drinkability to this complex, fruity wild ale. // 7.2% ABV // $11.50 / 500mL bottle // Limit: 3 bottles per person

The DAB Lab, Juice Joint // India Pale Ale // The DAB Lab series focuses on vibrant hop-forward ales that prominently feature hop extractions. Juice Joint blends a heady hop combination that's packed with hop character of resin-dipped pineapple skunk and freshly squeezed twisted citrus. // 7% ABV // $4.00 plus deposit / 16oz can // Limit: 16 cans (4 4-packs) per person

ADDITIONAL BEER RELEASE

Charlies Delights, Pear and Maple Upside Down Cake 1x1.png

Another beer we’re releasing this weekend, but it’s just not part of the technical Late Fall Release - Charlie’s Delights, Pear & Maple Upside Down Cake!:

Charlie's Delights, Pear and Maple Upside Down Cake // Overly Fruited Tart Wit Style // PEAR & MAPLE UPSIDE DOWN CAKE is a fall time cornucopia of Pear and Apple Puree, with a touch of maple syrup, cinnamon, and vanilla layered on top of a zippy base witbier. // 5% ABV // $5.00 plus deposit / 16oz can

GENERAL UPDATES

  • Fresh Press went live this past Friday at both locations, and the feedback has been awesome! Try it out if you haven’t already and let us know what you think!

    • On the note of Fresh Press, cans will be coming out in mid-December as an FYI!

  • As a reminder, all employees need to be aware of where they park downtown between 9am-5pm if they are on the clock. If you are working in any capacity, you cannot park in the free 3-hour spots. Here is a breakdown from the Downtown Corvallis Association for you to reference!

DOWNTOWN UPDATES

  • We have half umbrellas for the original picnic tables outside (the 100's) for when the weather turns. These umbrellas use the same bases as the ones in the corral, so we won't be able to have both sets assembled at the same time.

  • A replacement glass case for the heaters is on its way. Once it arrives, we will be able to use the second heater again.

  • Since we are gearing up for a large beer release this weekend, we will slowly start running out of some draft options over the next couple of days. Be sure to check the 86 list and whiteboard when you start your shift!

  • Starting this weekend, we will have bar backs scheduled at the Caves Public House on Fridays and Saturdays to help support the bar and flow of the restaurant.

TAP ROOM UPDATES

  • We’ve adjusted the way that the front entryway is set up a bit, this is to ensure that those folks sitting at Table 21 feel comfortable and not imposed on by people waiting in line for the Tap Room or walking to the patio. As both employees and customers of the Tap Room on your off-time, please be conscious of this table and ensure you’re giving space!

STAFF UPDATES

I’m going to chalk it up to quarantine brain, but a few months ago I received a message with a very, very special 10 year announcement. It subsequently fell off my radar and I forgot to include it. The omission was recently brought to my attention, though, so without further ado -

CONGRATS to our badass, smart, hard-working, beer educating, animal loving, carnivorous plant guru Katy on her 10 year (plus 3 month) anniversary with the company! I know we all couldn’t imagine Block 15 without her! We love you, Katy! ❤❣💕💞💓💗💘
