BLOCK FRIDAY

Advertising for this is out in the wild already, but we wanted to announce that Block Friday will be happening again this year on Friday, November 29th! We’ll be offering loads of rare bottles out of our cellar for sale to-go, in addition to offering up discounted merchandise up to 70% off, and a 20% discount on all other non-release packaged beers. This was a rockin’ event last year, so if you’re interested in coming and snagging some bottles, be sure to check it out!

BLOCK 15 AND CAVES HOLIDAY PARTY!

You and one guest* are warmly invited to the annual Block 15 and Caves holiday gathering featuring live music, beverages, appetizers, a photo booth, and good times!

  • When: Monday, December 2nd from 6:30pm-11pm

  • Where: The Corvallis Marriott Ballroom (400 SW 1st St. Parking is available in the hotel garage.)

  • Attire: Many enjoy dressing up but please wear whatever you are comfortable with!

  • RSVP**: Please do so by Monday, November 18th here.

Additional Info:

  • All of our locations will be closed to the public and we will have projects during the day for those that want some hours.

  • We will not be hosting a white elephant gift exchange this year.

  • Hotel rooms: A discount for Marriott hotel room is available. Mention “take the elevator home” when booking your room.

*Adults only. If your guest is a former employee they will need to be OK'd through the sign up form.

**Late RSVP’s will be politely declined.

STAFF PROVISIONS

As you know from last week’s brewsletter, we will be phasing out the Brewer’s Provision series and implementing an Employee Provisions series! The link for submissions can be found here, and will live permanently on the main landing page near the online store & PTO links.

PRAY FOR SNOW EMPLOYEE ATTENDANCE

Pray for Snow returns this Thursday, 11/14, and we wanted to clarify the policy regarding employee attendance:

  • “If Block 15 employees want to participate in the games at this Thursday's Pray for Snow, they are welcome to as long as they don't wear Block attire and aren't coming directly onto or off of a shift at the Tap Room. HOWEVER, no Block employees will be eligible to win the prize for the "blind" hop identification contest, for perception reasons.”

HOLIDAY CLOSURE

Just an FYI that all locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28th). Normal hours will resume Friday the 29th.

NOVEMBER MONTHLY SPECIALS

  • Brewer’s Board / Prosciutto, Tillamook extra-sharp white cheddar, winter squash mustard, spiced cranberry relish, house pickled carrots, and freshly baked ale bread.

  • Meatball Sliders / House made Carlton Farms pork & Oregon Natural beef meatballs smothered in fresh marinara and topped with melted parmesan & mozzarella cheeses on a house baked mini buns.

  • The Gobbler Burger / Our juicy turkey burger topped with cornbread-sage stuffing & turkey gravy, with cranberry relish on a toasted house baked bun. Served with beer battered fries.

  • Brown Butter & Squash Linguine / Fresh Linguine & roasted Denison Farms butternut squash tossed in our brown butter & sage cream sauce. Topped with parmesan cheese, crushed hazelnuts, and fried sage leaves.  Served with house baked herbed garlic bread.

MENU CHANGES

We are changing up some standard menu items at the pub starting next week! Some items are just changing ingredient-wise, some are additions, and some items are being replaced.

One bigger change is we will now be serving torn and toasted ale bread in lieu of garlic bread! 

Procedures for these items can be found here, and a condensed breakdown of what’s changing is below!

  • Jerk Nuts (replacing Smoked Hazelnuts)

  • Middle Earth Salad (replacing Strawberry Fields Salad)

  • Classic Mac & Cheese (replacing Garlic Cream Linguine)

  • Sriracha Mac and Cheese (new item)

  • Coconut Curry Noodle Bowl (replacing Chicken Chipotle Pasta)

  • Tempeh Grinder (replacing Shiitake Po’Boy)

  • Meatloaf (replacing the Pub Steak Sandwich)

  • Kid Mac & Cheese (replacing Kid Quesadilla)

  • Kid Hummus (replacing Kid HB&J)

  • The BMT is leaving the menu but will still be on the Secret Menu

  • Nachos, Chicken Tenders (regular, Happy Hour & Kids), Enchiladas, the BBQ Burger, and the Bleu Bacon Burger all have small ingredient tweaks
