ALL:

  • Bourbon Month Activities are still taking place! Feb. 17-18th is the Winter Warmup Event at the Tap Room, and Feb. 19th will be the Bourbon Dinner at Caves.

  • A super special bourbon will be released at the Pub only this Wednesday, 2/15 at 3:15pm. More details to come on the day of, so be sure to check your HotSchedules, and/or check in with a manager if you are working that day… It's a super secret SURPRISE!

  • First OSU Baseball games of the season are starting soon! The weekend of Feb 24th-26th will be our first OSU Baseball home games vs Coppin State (Baltimore, so maybe not a ton of traveling). We should start to see some busier weekends with Baseball & Softball starting up soon.

  • FOCUS POINT: You Are All Amazing! It’s been a busy and at times, unpredictable February. Thank you all for busting your buns and supporting each other and making this a busy and fun-filled Bourbon Month!

       FOH:

  • Now that Bourbon Month is in full swing, let's keep the excitement going! Not every table that walks in the door is aware of Bourbon Month, and they might just have their mind blown to learn about it! Please be sure to communicate with and ask guests if they are interested in Bourbon Month.

  • Just a heads up! We moved the Bleeding Heart to the server restock area by the other wines, so when doing the bar restock that is where it will now be found.

  • As we are starting to seat the Game Room on a more regular basis, servers please make sure the signs get flipped when taking the GR as a section AND again once phased from that section.

  • Friendly reminder to break empty flats down in the beer walk-in when doing beer restock. One or two is ok, but leaving multiple behind stacks up in such a small space. Also please recycle them!

  • FOCUS POINT: Menu Cleanliness & Menu Condition Awareness! As we are gathering menus, sorting them, or putting them away (or when we have down time) please check on the cleanliness and condition that our many menus (food/drink/dessert/bourbon) are in and let a manager know if we need to print more. The cardstock holds up well, but still is subject to wear and tear. Let’s make sure our customers are getting menus that are in good condition.

       BOH:

  • Station organization–please don’t forget to restock sauce bullets all down the line.

  • Make sure to cool the Honey Bacon Vin at the end of night and then take it down to the walk-in like you would a soup. Also, the thermos we hold it in should be hand washed and sanitized at the end of the night.

  • Line mayo settles as it sits in the 8qt. Please whisk it before refilling so the bottom half of the 8qt is the right consistency.

FOCUS POINT: Teamwork & Assisting Other Stations Awareness! If you see your teammate drowning but you are not as busy and are able, please step in and communicate to see what you can do to assist. Flexibility to move amongst different stations is helpful especially when one station is getting hit harder than others.
