EVENTS/WELCOME BOARD:

ALL:

  • Just a quick reminder on what to do if we get unexpectedly busy! ~ First off, call the next person on to see if they can come in early (conversely, if you phased a bit too early, call the person that was just phased to see if they can come back in). If those options don’t work, call the pub...they have the flexibility to pull someone to give to us (be it FOH or BOH!). Especially with the weather being a bit spring-y and unpredictable at the moment, after consulting with your coworkers to see what they think, you should feel empowered to find coverage!!! 

  • We will be conducting a music overhaul - Paige will be taking over music from here on out. For the time being there will be approximately 6 pre-selected channels. These are the only channels allowed, at any time of day (so bakers, openers, & closers you can only pick from those options). Addition/deletion of channels is not allowed, and the downvoting or upvoting of songs is not allowed. If you have any feedback or significant issues with this, please connect with her and we’ll go from there. 

FOH:

  • Another reminder to ensure you’re conducting shift change! Even on weekdays we should be going through it and making sure we are doing all the necessary things (sani water change I’m lookin’ at you!), and marking them off as either done or not necessary. 

  • When taking to go orders, make sure that you let them know they can come to the reorder line to pick up their food (i.e. they don’t have to wait in a crazy long line). 

  • Sweep under everything! That means all tables (make sure to move them to get underneath the legs), in addition to the barrel furniture - if you bring that in early make sure that the area is swept underneath, or you move it when you do your final sweep at night. 

  • If we run out of a special midday and mid-rush but another special is going on, don’t take the time to get the details and get it up on the board while we’re in a rush. Just run without a special until you have a breather to actually take the time to get those details from the kitchen and get it written up on the board.

BOH:

  • Keep an eye on the new bier cheese and make sure it stays the proper consistency!
