ALL:

  • Here is the run-down for all things coming at us: it's looking like a quiet week ahead with no sports, but we are getting closer to the end of school!! Next week we have Corvallis high school kids (CHS & Crescent Valley) graduating on Friday June 9th! Thursday June 15th is Linn-Benton Community College Graduation, Friday June 16th is the last day of school for all Corvallis schools, Saturday June 17th is OSU Graduation (Congrats to our B15 SENIORS), & Sunday June 18th is Father’s Day!!

  • Friendly reminder that you are responsible for finding coverage for your shift & to call the pub immediately if you are unable to work(not an hour or 15 minutes prior your shift). A message on Hotschedules is also not enough. The “What To Do If You’re Sick & Can’t Work” Procedure is printed and posted next to the Read & Sign both upstairs and downstairs. Please read that before signing the Read & Sign this week and follow that guideline.

  • Cookies now have their own home in the walk-in so they are easier to find. They will live on top of the bread rack.

  • FOCUS POINT: Hot Hold & Bier Cheese Consistency Awareness! Let’s all keep our eyes on the hot hold & be sure that there is enough water in the basin & that the bier cheese is a pourable consistency and less of a plop-able consistency. If in question on the consistency please reach out to the Kitchen Lead or the manager on duty.

     FOH:

  • If you are helping out the bar and changing a keg, please remember to move the empty out of the walk in and into the cellar.

  • FOCUS POINT: Keeping Busy When it's Slow Awareness!! It's super easy to get caught up in conversations when we aren’t as busy; however, let’s be sure we aren’t standing & chatting too long (especially at the Host stand & B-Zero). Instead let’s be sure we are actively looking for productive side work in those slower moments.

      BOH:

  • Openers, please continue to save veggie scraps from soup prep (carrots, onion, celery). If there is no bucket, feel free to start a new one.

  • We are no longer cutting the Italian Grinder in half when plating the sandwich.

  • To clear any confusion, Kids Mac does NOT go in the oven whereas the ½ Mac DOES go in the oven.

  • Friendly reminder that once prep is gone it is the responsibility of the last employee that uses the prep dish pit to clean up any food debris left in the sink. Not only do we not want it being left for prep in the morning, but we cannot have food being left out due to rodent problems in the building.

  • FOCUS POINT: Procedure Awareness!! Keeping up with procedure knowledge will only assist you towards success! Sometimes we adjust our procedures slightly, but with that being said be sure to keep up to date with information.
