Learn about ocean acidification and its effect on oyster aquaculture in a presentation by EPA scientist Jim Markwiese.

Oyster & Beer Fest FAQs:

Are kids allowed at Oyster & Beer Fest?
Minors are open all hours we’re open (except at the bar seats), including during the fest. However, the grassy area next to our patio will be covered by a large tent, and the space in our Tap Room will predominantly be standing space, so Oyster & Beer Fest will not be quite as kid friendly as the Tap Room normally is, due to the event set up.

What time is the live music, and what style will the band play?
Chuck Holst and Gary Rowles will be playing from 5:30pm-7:30pm. They play a mixture of folk, blues, and classic rock.

What are the cost of the oysters?
The raw oysters served at the fest will range from $2 - $3. The oyster-themed food specials served out of the Tap Room kitchen will vary in price.

What are the pour size and cost of the beers?
We are offering 4oz pours for all beers, with prices ranging from $2 to $5 per pour.

Are tokens the only payment accepted at each station?
Yes, the oyster and beer stations will only accept tokens. Additional tokens can be purchased at the welcome entry table.

I’m here as a regular customer, not interested in the Oyster & Beer Fest...can I still eat/sit/hang out?
Absolutely! (Most) of our regular tap room menu is available (in addition to some cool specials), and the service is as normal - albeit a bit busier! We’ve intentionally set up the Fest to be on the periphery of the tap room so regular customers can still sit inside and on the south end of the patio as normal.

Is there a cover or entrance fee to get into the fest?
Nope! Entrance is free. Simply purchase tokens at the welcome table in order to enjoy any of the beers or oysters from the fest stations.

What sort of condiments or mignonettes are available?
Each station will have lemon, cocktail sauce ,and a standard mignonette available. We will also be offering unique mignonettes at each station designed to pair specifically with that station’s oysters.

What can I do with leftover tokens?
On the day of the Fest, you can use your tokens at the main Tap Room order stations and receive your change back in tokens. After the fest is over, you can use your tokens like cash at either of our Block 15 locations (though not Caves). While you can receive change back in cash at that point, at no time may tokens be exchanged for cash.

What is the parking situation?
You can park in our main Tap Room Lot, on either side of Deschutes St. or on McKenzie Ave., or in the north end of the Team Oregon lot. We encourage you to carpool if you are able to!

We will also be offering a Lyft discount code (Oyster19), which you can apply for $5 off your Lyft ride to or from the Tap Room. Only one redemption is available per person, and only a limited number of discount code uses are available.

Can I use a gift card to purchase tokens or Oyster Week glassware at the front entry table?
Unfortunately, gift cards can only be used at the main cashier stations within the Tap Room. Our system does not support gift cards anywhere else, including the station for purchasing tokens and/or Oyster Week glassware.
