100% OFF NEW FOOD ITEMS POLICY

There as been some confusion regarding the policy of 100% off new food items. Below is the finalized policy and verbiage. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with it, and feel free to ask a manager if you have any questions!

  • Caves: Employees are eligible to receive a 100% discount on an unmodified, new food menu item during the first week of the menu item's release. The employee is not required to have worked any hours on the day the discount is received. What is required is that the employee critically think about the menu item and provide thoughtful, written feedback.

  • Pub: Employees are eligible to receive a 100% discount on an unmodified, monthly special food menu item during the first week of the menu item's release. This discount may also apply to the first week of any new static menu food item. The employee is not required to have worked any hours on the day the discount is received. What is required is that the employee critically think about the menu item and provide thoughtful, written feedback.  

  • Tap Room: Employees are eligible to receive  a 100% discount on an unmodified, new food menu item during the first two weeks of the menu item's release. The employee is not required to have worked any hours on the day the discount is received. What is required is that the employee critically think about the menu item and provide thoughtful, written feedback.

BOURBON MONTH

Bourbon Month begins February 1st at the Pub and Caves! We will be debuting our new barrel selection from Buffalo Trace, along with a rad lineup of bourbons hand-picked by Alex Goodwin. There will be events galore, including the Caves Bourbon Dinner, a dine-out/tasting with 4 Spirits at the pub, a bottle release brunch, and an ice cream social. Get ready to drink some bourbon!

Goody is going to drop a knowledge bomb on us next week with a ton more information about the month!


HOG BREAKDOWN

A few employees will be breaking down 2 whole hogs on Monday, January 14th at 10am at the Tap Room, and anyone who wants to come observe and get their hands dirty helping out are welcome to join. All three of our kitchens will then use various products from the breakdown in different recipes throughout the next few months!

SIP & SPELL @ THE WHITESIDE

We will be pouring beer at the Sip & Spell Adult Spelling Bee at the Whiteside next month on Saturday, February 9th. More specific details will follow as the event gets closer, but just as an FYI we will have coasters to promote the event at both locations. So if someone asks why we have those coasters you can explain to them that we’re the beer pourers!

EVENTS

  • Caves will be hosting it’s Monthly Tasting Series with Modern Times brewery on Wednesday, January 9th from 5pm-7pm. We will have a representative from their Portland location The Belmont Fermentorium. Caves will be pouring five of their beers: Oderville Hazy IPA; Black House Oatmeal Stout; Bourbon Barrel Aged Devils Teeth with hazelnuts, vanilla, and coffee; Liliput Kolsch; and Flamenco Sketches Sour with guava, orange, and vanilla. We will have small plate food specials to pair with some of the beers as well!

  • Saturday, January 19th is an all day dine out for Philomath Montessori School. Drop by to show your support for Cassidy’s school!
