Block 15 and de Garde’s Amusement Series is a rotating seasonal project that blends friendship, technique, and beer from both breweries. Each entry is available during its season on tap and in 500mL bottles, exclusively at both breweries.

Winter Amusement 2018-19

Winter Amusement features a winter saison from Block 15 blended with nearly two year old spontaneously fermented and oak aged wild ale from de Garde, producing a balanced and characterful blend that will also evolve beautifully when cellared.

SAISON

Grains: 2-Row, Pale Malt, Wheat Malt, Vienna Malt, Flaked Wheat

Hops: Golding, Magnum

Yeast: S-26 Farmhouse Ale

SPONTANEOUS ALE

Grains: Regionally-grown unmalted Wheat, regionally-grown Pale Barley Malt

Hops
: Oregon-grown Cascade and Oregon-grown Willamette (aged 3-4 years)

Yeast: Wild yeast and bacteria native to Tillamook, spontaneously inoculated from an overnight rest in de Garde's coolship.

Cooperage: Neutral French oak 500L puncheon barrels and 10HL casks (aged 2 years)

SPRING AMUSEMENT 2019

Spring Amusement features a young spring saison from Block 15 blended with two year old spontaneously fermented and oak aged wild ale from de Garde, producing a balanced blend with grist notes of honey, freshly baked bread, and caramel, fruity and minerally saison yeast character, and a zippy wild finish with lemon and light funk.

Grains: 2-Row, Pelton Pilsner, Raw Red Wheat, Flaked Oats

Hops: Amarillo

Yeast: S-11 French Saison

SPONTANEOUS ALE

Grains: Regionally-grown unmalted Wheat, regionally-grown Pale Barley Malt

Hops
: Oregon-grown Cascade and Oregon-grown Willamette (aged 3-4 years)

Yeast: Wild yeast and bacteria native to Tillamook, spontaneously inoculated from an overnight rest in de Garde's coolship.

SUMMER AMUSEMENT 2019

Summer Amusement features a young table saison from Block 15 blended with one year old spontaneously fermented and oak aged wild ale from De Garde, producing a crisp and super refreshing blend that balances rustic and fruit-forward saison character with wild notes of lemon zest, straw, and a hint of earthy funk.

Grains: Pelton, White Wheat, Triticale Malt

Hops: Magnum

Yeast: Saison Blend II - The Yeast Bay
